Dear Honorable Board of Aldermen:

The Office of Strategic Planning and Community Development (OSPCD) is recommending that the City apply to designate the City-owned parcel at 10 Poplar Street, currently the home of the waste transfer facility, as a Priority Development Site (PDS) under the state’s Chapter 43D Expediting Permitting. 

This new site will allow the City to apply for designation as a Green Community and become eligible for grant funding under the state’s Green Communities Initiative.
