To the Honorable Board:

 

In response to Agenda Items approved April 27, 2017:

Agenda Item 203274

That the Director of Traffic and Parking consider placing a raised crosswalk at the intersection of Summer and Lowell Streets.

The design and installation of raised crosswalks is a function of DPW Engineering and SPCD, Traffic and Infrastructure.

 

Agenda Item 203280

That the Director of Traffic and Parking install a NO LEFT TURN sign at the corner of Webster Avenue and Newton Street.

No left turn signage will be installed.

 

Agenda Item 203281

That the Director of Traffic and Parking install NO PARKING FROM HERE TO CORNER signage on Summer Street, at the intersection of Greene Street, to create an adequate line of sight when turning from Greene Street.

No Parking Here to Corner signs will be installed at the above location.

 

Agenda Item 203356

That the Director of Traffic and Parking repaint the SIDEWALK - NO CYCLING decals in the Union Square Central Business District.

Traffic and Parking is in the process of repainting all the No Bike decals in all the Central Business Districts throughout the City.

 

Agenda Item 203371

That the Director of Traffic and Parking replace the missing restricted turn sign at Endicott Avenue and Broadway.

The restricted sign will be re-installed

 

Agenda Item 203372

That the Directors of SPCD and Traffic and Parking place appropriate signs and signals for safety zones in Ward 2, especially around the Argenziano School.

Locations for safety Zones were prepared by SPCD, Traffic and Infrastructure. The prepared list was submitted to the Traffic Commission for approval. Any supplemental Safety Zones must also be prepared by SPCD and submitted to the Traffic Commission for approval. Once approved, Traffic and Parking will install the appropriate Safety Zone signs.
