Requesting acceptance of a grant of $1,792.72 from the Mass DEP for recycling outreach and materials.

Dear Honorable Board of Alderman:

I request your board's approval to accept a grant from the MassDEP in the amount of $1,792.72.  The City of Somerville received "small scale initiative" funds of up to $2,000.00 for Recycling outreach and education materials and (b) to purchase break room recycling containers.  Please reference copy of enclosed application.  Based on our actual cost, DEP is payng the city $1,792.72.

In accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 44, Section 53A, which requires a vote of the Board of Aldermen for the expenditure of grants or gifts from the Federal government, a charitable foundation, private corporations, or an individual or from the Commonwealth, a country or a municipality or agency thereof, I request that you accept this donation.
