To the Honorable Board:

I respectfully request that Your Honorable Board confirm the appointment of Juliette Rooney-Varga, a 12 year resident of the City of Somerville, to the Commission on Energy Use and Climate Change (CEUCC).   Ms. Rooney-Varga would fill the position of Jean Sideris, who has moved from the City and whose term expired on March 1, 2011.  This term would extend through March 1, 2014.

I am attaching Ms. Rooney-Varga's letter of interest and resume for your consideration.

My staff will be available to answer any questions you may have.
