Official Text

That the Executive Director of the Office of Strategic Planning and Community Development (Mobility) explain to this Council in writing why this Administration seems to be adamantly opposed to deploying speed bumps in Somerville, despite the fact that speed bumps are relatively cheap and quick to deploy,  make crossing streets safer for pedestrians, and that cities in all different climates, including Boston, deploy them in far greater numbers, and despite the hundreds of requests by residents, and explain why there are less than a half-dozen speed bumps in the entire City.
