To the Honorable Board:

In relation to Agenda Item 202923 as recommended by the Committee on Legislative Matters - Committee of the Whole at its August 31, 2017 meeting:

Attached please find a revised draft home rule petition relative to the elimination of the requirement that members of both the Board of Election Commissioners (new Section 2) and the Licensing Commission (Section 1) be members of any political party, for consideration. 

Also attached is a reference document in red-line format illustrating the revisions to existing special legislation relating to the Election Commission and Assistant Election Commissioners as proposed in the home rule petition.
