To the Honorable City Council:

I respectfully request that your Honorable City Council accept a grant of $2000 from MA Dept. of Public Health to the Fire Department, under the provisions of MGL Chapter 44, Section 53A. This grant does not require the commitment of new matching funds. The purpose of this grant is to pay for Mass Decon Unit (MDU) equipment and training.

My staff will be available to answer any questions you may have. Thank your for your consideration of this item.
